Mr. Paul Maduakor, founder of the Surulere, Lagos-based Haggai Sports Wear, said in a statement that the concept of Proudly Nigerian Independence Jersey (PNIJ) first came up in 2019. “The idea is to celebrate every Nigerian, foster love and unity among us and, ultimately, create a unique and fashionable way to be part of our national independence anniversary,” said Maduakor, who has a passion for high quality designer wears.

He said that the motive of the promo is “to give Nigerians a uniform outlook on October 1, 2020, despite one’s ethnic nationality or geo-political zone.”
