PR expert, Brig-Gen Sani K Usman rtd
A public relations expert, Brigadier-General Sani K Usman (rtd), has called for more constructive engagement between Nigeria and Ghana in a bid to resolve the worsening row over the alleged hostility against Nigerian traders in Ghana by Ghanaians and their government.
“I would rather call for more constructive engagement between both countries,” Usman, a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, said while appearing on a Channels Television live programme.
The former Director of Army Public Relations in the Nigerian Army cautioned against any steps that could exacerbate the crisis caused by the levying of a million dollars on peasant Nigerian traders by Ghanaian authorities and the forceful locking up of their shops.
“I want Nigeria to take a stronger stance through constructive engagement in a bid to resolve the issues at stake,” Brig.-Gen. Usman advised.
