The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Kaduna State Council has commended the management of the Kaduna International Airport for ensuring the observance of the COVID-19 protocol in totality.
The Chairman of the Congress, Comrade Ayuba Magaji Suleiman, made the commendation, when he led members of Labour/Civil Society Situation Room on an inspection tour of the airport on Wednesday.
He expressed satisfaction that from the entrance to the Departure Lounge, hundred percent COVID-19 protocol was fully observed.
Suleiman further explained that the committee was set up to ensure the protection of jobs, payment of salaries, opening up of business activities among others.
He advised the management of the Airport to keep up with the maintenance of the standard of COVID-19 protocol for the safety of the people.
In his response, the Head, Human Resource Department of the airport, Mr. Daniel Kaze, said the management accorded priority to the safety of its passengers as part of the Federal Government directive on COVID-19.
He added that all necessary measures were put in place for any eventuality that might arise.
