The Pastor in charge of Mountain Zion Deliverance Ministry, Ugamuma village in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chukwudi Chukwumezie, has been arrested by Police detectives in the state for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old girl.

It was gathered that the 34-year-old pastor lured the girl to a place along Eze Iweka Road, Obosi under false pretence of making a deliverance prayers for her, having prophesied to the mother that she was born a star but needed deliverance to bring it to the fore.

A statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Mr. Haruna Mohammed, a Superintendent, said that Police detectives took the victim to the hospital for medical examination where penetration and laceration of her hymen was confirmed by the medical doctor.

He said: “The same suspect who presently jumped Court bail had on the July 16, 2020 and August 4, 2020 allegedly defiled another 15 years old girl from Iyaba Egbema in Ozubulu using same modus of false deliverance. The victim was equally taken to the hospital for medical examination where penetration was also confirmed.

“Suspect was arrested on the 30/8/2020 by police operatives attached to Ozubulu Division following a tip-off and case transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation as directed by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. John B. Abang.”

He said that the suspect would be charged to court for prosecution as soon as investigation is concluded.
