With the public perception and very dented image of the Nigerian police, it’s clear that the allegations against the police for bribery and extortion is not far from the truth. Worse still, the rot in the police system is from the top hierarchy and that’s why it’ll be extremely hard to reform.

Paying lip service will not slove this problem. APC must do the right thing. Rubishing the constitution, nepotism, misusing the police force and the arm forces and ambigous lies will not help. There must be a real change in tactics by the APC led government and not lip service.
