I was still in secondary school when at the school's library I sighed a copy of Sunday Concord Newspaper. Flipping through the pages, an article, "Murder By Pen" by Ray Ekpu caught my attention. I remember reading the same article a few times that same day before hiding it in an obscure corner of the library. On any other day of my subsequent visits to the library I would always pick it up, read the article again before attending to other books. The construction of the grammar in the write up was actually what sustained my attention to it.

When eventually Newswatch Magazine appeared on the news stands and having sighted the name Ray Ekpu as one of the editors I made sure I booked a copy ahead of time every week. They are still available in my house and I use them for references in my writings. The sad story of Newswatch should better be forgotten.

Happy birthday, ray Ray. Many happy returns.

How does all these strategies listed against Niger republic help Nigerians? Are these to ameliorate the suffering of Nigerians? Do we have enough of what it takes to go to war against an independent nation? Are we directly afraid so that what happened in there may not happen in Nigeria because we are not better of than Niger. You fight and win when you have fed properly. Have we defeated our internal insurgency? What was in the minds of the four countries that absented from the ECOWAS meeting held in Abuja recently out of fifteen countries? A general is a general. Do you know anything about the then and present Libya?

In fact Nigeria is a shameless country. As a normal human, for an instance you went into a shop to buy two handsets, one is receiving network and the other is not, is the normal thing to do not to return the one that can not access network? National Assembly elections were transmitted real time and the presidential had problems using the same network! Haba! Without any prejudice to the person that was declared the winner by the Umpire, the right thing to do is cancel the election and announce a new date for the presidential election. That is the only way you can be fair to all the stakeholders including those that voted for one candidate or the other. Illegitimacy is an abomination, governance must come with a clear perception. The tribunal must save Nigeria Democracy.

This is a meaningless request. We are thinking of how Nigeria can move forward and you are talking about ministerial positions. Nigeria is in trouble now!! I was expecting you to have mentioned how to pray out Nigeria from the mess and you are just bringing in more troubles through segregation of religious bodies . Stop that.

This is an effort to rewriting history by the igbos.the writer started by saying it was Yoruba that plan the first coup in Nigeria,my question to him is how many people of Yoruba extraction were involved.how come it was only Hausa/fulani and Yoruba leader were killed while the ibo leader were left to run away.A tribal write up by a bigot .

May God help us through the Tribunal. This impunity has gone for a long time. Yes, ask Oshiomole how he constructed his estate. He is complaining about what, comparatively speaking, is petty thievery. A distribution of the loot to the minions among the gangsters. Let us hope and pray that this matter will be resolved peacefully at the Tribunal. The alternative would be pushing the masses to the brink and to the edge of the cliff towards the sea and the consequences will be cataclysmic for Nigeria; The change for better may be bloody or Nigeria may break up. We are at the crossroads and we have propitious opportunity to bring about the needed crucial change democratically. Tinubu and the current legislature are really pushing it.

Chaii, just imagine how much evil our Politicians and their policies has rendered our Youths useless and unemployed due to lack of capacity, but, rather, they have used them for ballots snatching, manipulations of election results sheets, kidnapping, banditry, but failed to train them to be gainfully employed in such technical jobs. You'll now agree with me that Nigeria Politicians has no agenda for Youths development, but see them as a tissue paper.IF YOU'RE A NIGERIAN YOUTHS THINK FAST ON HOW TO SURVIVE AND STOP DESTROYING YOUR FUTURE THROUGH CLUELESS LEADERSHIP.

It's rather unfortunate that in this progressive century we're still talking about coups, the military taking over power from the civillian govt due to bad governance, our new generation leaders has turned into gang of looting bandits especially in West African region. If an organization like ECOWAS are actually out to eradicate poverty and fight against bad governance, put a seal on military coups, they should as well deal with bad leaders, how can you install corrupt leaders and expect Peace. How can you beat a child and ask him not to complain.#NIGERIAMUSTWISEUP#
