As part of its social responsibility, key stone bank has donated over one hundred piece of Personal Protative Equipment (PPE) worth thousands of naira to Ebonyi State Ministry of Environment.

The Team, led by Mr Chinedu Onyemerela, handed over the materials to the Commissioner, Chief Emma Uguru, at Centenary City Abakaliki.

Mr Onyemerela noted that it was the good works of the Governor Engr David Umahi that attracted the bank to come and partner the state through the ministry of Environment by providing the materials for the sanitation health workers to use and clean while discharging their duties.

He commended the Commissioner for working hard to ensure that the City of Abakaliki is clean unlike some years back. He added that the gesture was their little way of showing appreciation to the ministry for a job well done.

“We are here to appreciate the good works the ministry is doing. The green environment, in fact, Ebonyi is wearing a new look. I could recall about eight to 10 years ago, it is not so.

“We want to commend the Governor for doing a good work. The bank decided to show its support and partnership to the government by bringing the materials for the sweepers to look neat,” Onyemerela said.

The Commissioner applauded the Team for the wonderful gesture and enjoined other banks to emulate from them.

Uguru noted that the government has done a lot in almost all spheres of life in Ebonyi, and eulogised Keystone Bank for being the first to appreciate the ministry’s efforts.

He therefore charged them to always ensure that their surroundings is clean as one of the best way the ministry’s effort as government cannot do it alone.

The Commissioner also revealed the state government plans to embark on Special Cleanup exercise, one full day, in the next couple of days

“The state is doing a lot and requires people to appreciate it in any way especially like this and not just clapping hands. The banks are the people that are being looked upon. Other banks may have done something but to the ministry, you have taken the lead. We are highly grateful for this gesture,” he said.
