Today, December 26, 2019, marks the 53rd wedding anniversary of Dr. Aaze Thomas Adaba (popularly called Tom Adaba in the media) & Lady Aaze Theresa Adaba.

Tom needs little or no introduction at all.

However, let me say something, though not particularly new but something that is already embedded his personal memoir, BUT FOR GOD, about the couple, especially “the groom”.

Dr Tom Adaba has not only paid his dues in his chosen profession but has to his credit three distinct and outstanding first. First Principal, NTA- College in Jos for many years. First Nigerian nay African to have been awarded Ph.D (Broadcasting) by the University of Jos. And of course, the pioneer Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission, an organisation that, not just regulates the broadcast industry (both radio and television) in Nigeria but actually spearheaded the deregulation of the media space, deregulation that opened the floodgate for individual ownership of radio and television. That Institution which he built from scratch had being in the forefront of digitisation, from analogue broadcast, in Nigeria. He has impacted his teaching skill in the area of communication on many.

Dr Tom & Lady Tessy Adaba are not only an inspiration and role model to many young couples but also to young intending couples. They are ardent Catholics, proudly so. Mama Adaba is into Spiritual work that seeks to promote Christian values in the home, not just in the homes of Catholic faithful but expanding to people who truly desire counselling in building sound moral homes to the glory of God. And this she gleefully do for free. Dr Tom Adaba holds strong and promotes the Catholic faith. He was for many years the Grand Knight of the Order of St Lumuba, Maitama sub-council. He holds the traditional title of Ohi Etohueyi of Ebiraland, in Kogi State. In a nutshell, that is the couple we celebrate today and rejoice with them and their adorable children on this special day of their wedding anniversary. We bless God for their exemplary and unassuming live style.
