In a bid to thrill her fans at New Year eve, singing sensation Yemi Alade posted a video clip on her Instagram page, dancing and shaking her buttocks wildly.

The clip, which she claimed was done to be rhythmic in line with American super star Beyonce’s dance steps, turned out to be Yemi’s greatest undoing in the year 2018, as she received the bashing of her life from the very fans she was trying to entertain. The bashing kept pouring in thousands.

Adunni_onigegeara wrote: “Very petty and childish. Abeg grow up and face better things, not all this nyansh competition. E no reach my own sha, so abeg make we hear word.”

ecool_dozie wrote: “You don start again with this butt issues o. Yemi, you sef.”

Freebeeofficial thundered: “Yemi, I’ll keep it real with you, albeit unsolicited. Is your music this off the radar these days that you desperately feel the need to distract everybody with this ridiculous bum bum contest? Divert all this toxic energy into making solid music come 2019. And by the way, as gorgeous as Beyonce is, she is renowned for her classic music, not bum bum. Those around you may be too timid to keep it real with you. This is completely beneath you.”

And rowland_nike fired: “Upon all this back show, you still short like Malta bottle.”

Favour Ogee added: “Attention seeker. Your mates are doing VIP of 1million naira and above and yours is 16k. You have a long way to go.”

Patorvic advised: “Enough of this nyansh whatever.”

cia-okafor also advised rather mildly: “Be yourself dear. You are not Beyonce, you are Yemi Alade. You are you (one of a kind) and that makes you unique.”

And a salvo from yet another fan: “See strong nyansh like Urhobo masquerade. For your mind. Beyonce got hips and they don’t lie. Na only thick thighs I see with calories everywhere. Mtvchwwww. If you like, block me. Ode!”
