Coca-Cola Nigeria has received two Marketing and Communications Awards from top Marketing Awards organisers in Africa for 2017.

In the just concluded Lagos Advertising & Ideas Festival (LAIF) Awards, organised by the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), the company was awarded Gold in the Film Category for Non-Alcoholic drinks for the surprise entry by Nigeria’s Football Legend, Austin ‘Jay-Jay’ Okocha, during the National Final Match for COPA Coca-Cola’s U-15 Soccer Tournament.

In the same vein, in the newly Pan African Marketing World Awards (MWA) Summit, currently in its seventh edition and took place at Kempinski Ambassador Hotel Accra, Ghana, Coca-Cola Nigeria’s Marketing Director, Patricia Jemibewon, was presented with an award for being amongst the top 50 Marketing and Communications professionals in West Africa.

At the MWA Awards, Coca-Cola was nominated in three different categories including; Iconic Brand of the Year, Excellence in Marketing Innovation and Marketing Professional of the Year.

Speaking on the Awards, Jemibewon expressed her excitement in being given such an honour and was quick to reiterate that the great work done with Coca-Cola’s Marketing & Communication was as a result of the commitment of the team behind the unit.

She said: “I am excited to receive the Award as one of the Top 50 Marketing and Communication professionals in West Africa. It is indeed a great honour. Also, receiving Gold for Film at LAIF goes on to emphasise that the work the entire team puts into our campaigns does not go unnoticed.

“I must celebrate the dedication and hard work of those behind our Marketing and Communications activities who daily give their best to ensure that the brands we manage capture the right messages that connect with our audience in a manner that is meaningful to them.”

Both Award ceremonies celebrate creative craft and the very best hands in the Marketing and Communication industry. Lagos Advertising & Ideas Festival (LAIF) Awards recognises creative excellence in the Advertising industry, and Marketing World Awards (MWA) promotes excellence in branding and marketing in Africa.
