The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Tuesday 30, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over this region in the morning hours with prospects of localised thunderstorms over places such as Sokoto, Kano, Dutse, Gusau, and Maiduguri in the afternoon/evening. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 39 – 44℃ and 25 – 28℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over most parts of the region with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Abuja, Kaduna, Mambilla, Yelwa and Bida in the morning. The chances are however slim over Abuja and Bida and its environs. Later in the day, prospects of localised thunderstorms are expected over Minna, Abuja, Lafia, Jos, Makurdi, Jalingo and Yola axis. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 36℃ and 24 – 26℃ respectively except Jos with 28/19℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Increase in cloudiness is expected with chances of localised rain over Port Harcourt and Calabar during the morning hours. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over Ado Ekiti, Oshogbo, Abeokuta, Owerri, Awka, Abakaliki, Yenogoa, Warri, Port Harcourt and Eket during the evening/night period. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 34℃ and 23 – 25℃ respectively.
