Rivers State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bro. Felix Obuah, has commended Teachers, Parents and Pupils of Public Primary Schools for resuming for academic activities despite the sponsored attempts by the immediate past governor, Rotimi Amaechi, to disrupt school resumption through his proxies.

In a statement issued on Monday by Jerry Needam, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Obuah, the PDP alleged that the immediate past governor, through his proxies at the Pentagon Security attempted to stop school resumption but stakeholders insisted that education remains paramount hence they resumed classes.

Bro. Obuah described as unfortunate the desperation of the APC and its leaders in Rivers State, who are prepared to sacrifice the future of the state by employing surreptitious, dubious and deceptive means to stop the smooth resumption of public schools as directed by the state government.

The Rivers State PDP Chairman expressed happiness that all education stakeholders in the state appreciated the efforts of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, hence their public support and solidarity with him at all times.
