?International human rights lawyer marks deliverance from Abacha to Buhari

Twenty-nine years ago, I walked out of prison after months of torture, starvation and deprivation at the gulag of Gen Abacha the dreaded dictator. A week ago, I received a national merit award from the Federal Govt of Nigeria in the same presidential villa where I was once prisoner?

Wait! There?s more. I received the award a week after my latest persecutor, ex-dictator Gen Muhammadu Buhari, who ruthlessly attacked and defamed me in the U.S. and globally spending millions of dollars, died and was buried.

Fittingly, one of the schoolgirls who he virulently fought me over and whom he had tried to wrest from America back to Nigeria also became an American citizen that week. I couldn?t have scripted this any better!

DEATH IS NO ESCAPE FOR BUHARI

Many know my travails under the wicked and evil Buhari regime.

Apart from the covert attacks of all their intelligence services, the public face of their fight was govt Minister Aisha Alhassan who lied that I didn?t put the Chibok girls in school in America and told their parents that their daughters were just domestic servants to white people.

I pronounced a divine judgment upon her and sued her for defamation in Abuja High Court.

After she compromised the courts to stall my case for years, my lawyers fixed May 6, 2021 for a status hearing but the case did not proceed.

The news of her death the day after another aborted hearing of my quest for justice in my defamation case against her and the FGN was poetic and prophetic justice in and of itself.

?Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.? (Proverbs 11:21)

Nigeria?s rulers should be warned that as the wise King Solomon said, ?All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the sun: there is a time wherein one man ruleth over another to his own hurt.? (Ecclesiastes 8:9)-

Buhari?s American attack dog against me, rogue Republican operative Doug Wead (and former SA to President Bush), was arrested and charged with fraudulently funneling Russian money into the Trump campaign also in 2021 and died weeks later.

Gen. Abacha imprisoned and tortured me in the presidential villa 29 years ago. Last June marks 27 years since he perished with his hideous regime.

Buhari is facing his own divine visitation which is to be feared more.

In my prophetic pronouncement against the regime for their false accusations against me, I said thus, in 2016 ?If anyone returns evil for good, evil will not depart from his house.?

If you check it, you will see that evil has not departed Buhari even in death. For the first time in our nation?s history, aides of the First Lady and the president opened fire against themselves in the villa. Before that the First Lady went on international media to embarrass her husband as a clueless non-performer unworthy of her future vote and he himself blasted her as only useful for food and sex ? all while traveling abroad!

Worst of all, the First Lady set a record as a refugee abroad from the putrid stench of her husband?s ruinous misgovernance. For the first time, Nigeria had a nomadic president and an IDP First Lady (Internationally Displaced Person.)

But by death, he will not escape justice ? poetic, prophetic or prosaic!

Ironically Buhari died days before one of the 13 schoolgirls I brought to US became an American citizen.

But worse still is the news that he was divorced. At the time when he needed to be tended to by a doting wife and life partner, he was allegedly without her for months in the UK hospital just the way he came between me and some of the Chibok girls I sponsored to US.

Somiari Demm and another Hajia Fagge at VOA who were his agents in causing a rift between the girls and us both were divorced from their husbands. They reaped the same division and discord they sowed in their own homes too just like Buhari! God is not mocked?

Buhari is neither missed nor mourned by the majority of those he misruled.

He owned landed property in Abuja but died in a foreign land like a typical Nigerian kleptocrat.

No one is immortal and death is the debt humanity pays for a life we never borrowed but were bestowed.

When my time comes my deeds will speak for me as his have spoken for him. May our rulers learn to fear God.

I return honor and glory to He who is my glory and the lifter of my head, my refuge and strong tower, my deliverer and ever present help in time of need. Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him out of them all!

If Abacha had killed me, there are many today that would not have found help. The Chibok girls would not be in America today. Yet they were born the very year that Abacha abducted me!

But if Abacha had not imprisoned me, the same would also be true because I would not have gone on exile to pave the way for others. Of a truth, like biblical ex-palace prisoner Joseph said, ?what the enemy meant for evil, God turned around for good for the saving of many lives.?
