In what was described by SDTV Live as the ?craziest landing ever seen?, this video shows an Airbus A380 forced to land sideways due to severe crosswinds during a storm.

Occuring during February 2020 during a very severe storm in the UK called Storm Dennis, the show had to go on when it came to all forms of transport, including people travelling to and from abroad for all manner of reasons.

Life carrying on during a severe storm is the reason that this Airbus A380 pilot had to battle such dangerous weather at London Heathrow airport.

What happened was almost impossible

Described as ?crabbing?, landing sideways and moving sideways during a cross wind like a crab is a recommended technique that not every pilot can master.

Aligning the nose of the plane into the wind neutralizes drift and helps the pilot stay in control of the plane while cross winds push it.

Keeping aligned with the runway centerline even though the plane itself is not aligned, helps with landing in even the most ferocious of storms.
