Nigerian barber Joshua Aiyeniro, popularly known as T-Jos, has completed the Guinness World Record for the longest premium haircuts marathon, clocking an impressive 154 hours.

The seven-day challenge, which commenced on June 10, 2025, at exactly 10 pm at the Velodrome of the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, came to a close on June 17, 2025, at 10 pm.

A statement by Head of Media & Publicity Planning Committee, Gambo Jagindi, said that T-Jos spent 168 active hours on the challenge, with 14 hours of rest deducted in accordance with Guinness World Records rules, which entitle participants to one hour of rest after every 12 hours.

It noted that the remarkable achievement was a testament to T-Jos?s dedication, passion, and perseverance.

Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, along with other dignitaries, attended the final countdown.

Aiyedatiwa was present at the venue earlier to officially declare the countdown to the closing ceremony.

The statement added that the Governor?s presence, along with other prominent figures, underscored the significance of T-Jos?s achievement and the impact it has on promoting skill acquisition and inspiring the youth.

?T-Jos?s achievement is not only a personal triumph but also a source of inspiration for many,? said Governor Aiyedatiwa.
