Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has described President Tinubu?s visit to Anambra State as not only historic but impactful, saying that the state is determined to move from a departure lounge to a destination point development and prosperity.

He stated this during the state visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu held at the the Ekwueme Square in Awka.

Soludo who noted that the new Anambra is still at the kick off stage stressed that the state?s progress aligns with the federal government?s vision.

He reiterated the state?s support for President Tinubu and his administration, noting that the conferment of chieftaincy title on him at the event signifies their collective backing for the President?s leadership.

On federal government?s investments, Soludo maintained that over N170 billion have been spent on federal roads in the state, adding that Anambra is receiving all entitlements due to them from federal government.

He said, "Welcome to Anambra, the land of infinite possibilities, the home of the Progressives, your visit today is historic and consequential. What we are doing is just the beginning, ndi Anambra, akwobero beans akwo, meaning, the beans has not been grinded yet, the beans is yet to be bought. Like Americans will say, you ain't seen nothing yet.

"The last state visit by a president was in 2012, to commission brewery and private enterprise. This visit is not just to commission projects, over500km of road, fly overbridge. Anambra ison the rise and will attain its potential as the Dubai of Africa.

"President Tinubu must succeed, and we must give him all the support necessary to ensure that he succeed. You are a progressive and the leader of the largest party and I'm second and a leader here.

"We will dualize all the trunk A roads. Ours is an agenda with a deadline. Anambra is clearly on the rise."

The Governor called on progressive elements and political parties across the country to unite in the interest of national development and urged the President to galvanize unity among progressives to move Nigeria forward.

In his speech, former Commonwealth Secretary,, Chief Emeka Anyaoku described Soludo as a distinguished an achiever and an effective leader

He expressed confidence that he would be re-elected to continue the laudable job he is doing to reposition Anambra State, even as he hailed President Tinubu for finding time to visit the state.

Anyaoku urged the President to look into the troubling issues of insecurity in the nation as well the bad economy

While describing Soludo as an achiever, he said, "He will return come November 2025. He deserves a second term."

On his part, Anambra born businessman, Sir Emeka Offor affirmed his support for Soludo?s re-election, adding that he would throw his weight behind the governor to ensure he wins

According to him, Governor Soludo does not focus on party politics but he is committed to service and the development of Anambra State.

Meanwhile raditional rulers in Anambra State have conferred chieftaincy title of ?Dike Si Mba Anambra? on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The chieftaincy title was conferred on Tinubu during the president visit to Anambra State on Thursday..

The Chairman of the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Chidubem Iweka, who bestowed the title on President Tinubu, described him as a friend of the state.

He explained that the chieftaincy title was cconferred on the President in recognition of his love and support for the people of Anambra State.

Igwe Iweka also praised the President for establishing the South-East Development Commission, noting that it has fostered a sense of inclusion in the region.

He commended the ongoing federal road construction projects in the South-East and urged the President to sustain the momentum, saying, ?We want our governor to continue his good work in the state. He has the people of Anambra at heart. We don?t just like him, we love him. We want him to complete his eight years in office.?

Earlier in his speech, President Tinubu hailed for the good, visible works he is doing in Anambra.

According to him,From what I have seen and heard, the governor has done well. Governor Chukwuma Soludo is my friend and will continue to be my friend. With our progressive ideological alliance, we will continue to partner with Ndi Anambra.

Land mark Projects commissioned by Tinubu include, 8 line Emeka Anyaoku boulevard, the Solution Fun City and the new Anambra State government house.

Dignitaries at the event include governors of Enugu, Imo, Borno, Delta, Ogun States, among other Dignitaries
