Kaduna State Government has constituted a nine-member medical team to provide healthcare services for the state's pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia.

This was disclosed on Monday by the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Mallam Salihu S. Abubakar, shortly after the agency?s maiden meeting with the appointed team and its management in Kaduna.

The team, which is headed by Dr. Bello Jamoh, comprises experienced medical professionals carefully selected to ensure the well-being of pilgrims before, during, and after the pilgrimage.

According to Malam Salihu, the team will conduct comprehensive pre-departure health screenings at the Mando Hajj Transit Camp in Kaduna, and will offer on-site medical support in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, working in collaboration with the National Medical Team set up by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

?The health and safety of our pilgrims are of paramount importance,? the chairman stated.

?The team was carefully selected, considering members? experience, and we are confident in their ability to deliver excellent medical services throughout the Hajj.?

He further stressed that the medical team would be responsible for continuous health monitoring of the pilgrims throughout the entire pilgrimage. He warned that there would be zero tolerance for pregnant women intending to perform Hajj, in compliance with Saudi Arabia?s guidelines.

?There is zero tolerance for allowing pregnant pilgrims to travel for Hajj,? Malam Salihu warned, adding that the team?s role in enforcing this policy is crucial.

He urged the medical personnel to carry out their duties with utmost professionalism and dedication, to ensure a smooth and spiritually rewarding experience for all pilgrims.
