The recent meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has sparked intense debate and concern about global security. The conversation, which was intended to discuss US-Ukraine relations, took a dramatic turn when Trump warned Zelensky about the potential for World War 3. This warning has significant implications for global security, and it?s essential to examine the history of global conflicts, the benefits of international cooperation, and the potential consequences of war on Africa.

To understand the significance of the Trump-Zelensky conversation, it?s essential to examine the history of global conflicts. World War I, which began in 1914, was sparked by the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. The war involved multiple nations and resulted in the loss of over 9 million soldiers and 21 million wounded. World War II, the largest and deadliest conflict in human history, involved more than 50 nations and resulted in an estimated 60 to 80 million fatalities. The war began when Nazi Germany invaded Poland in 1939 and lasted until 1945, when Japan surrendered to the United States after atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

In the aftermath of World War I and II, the international community recognized the need for collective action to prevent future wars. The creation of the United Nations in 1945 was a significant step towards achieving this goal. The UN provides a platform for nations to come together and address common challenges, promoting diplomacy, cooperation, and peace. The benefits of international cooperation are numerous, and it's essential for nations to work together to prevent future conflicts.
