An 80-year-old trader, Ladan Bature, was fatally stabbed on Monday during an argument at the Kara Cattle Market along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Isheri Olofin.

The Ogun State Police Command confirmed to PUNCH Metro that a woman, Haiye Aginni, suspected to be responsible for the attack, had been arrested.

Speaking to our correspondent on Wednesday, the spokesperson for the command, Omolola Odutola, revealed that the suspect allegedly stabbed the 80-year-old man with a knife in front of the Kara Market mosque.

Despite efforts by residents and traders to rush him to the hospital, Odutola stated that Bature was confirmed dead by a doctor.

She disclosed, ?Following the report to the Ojodu Abiodun Police Division, detectives swiftly took action and arrested the suspect.

?Bature?s body has been deposited at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital morgue in Sagamu for preservation and autopsy.
