The All Progressive Congress (APC), Osun State chapter, has accused the former governor of the state, Rauf Aregbesola, and his Omoluabi Progressives Group of serving as agents of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

APC spokesman, Kola Olabisi, stated that the Osun APC is not bothered by the exit of Aregbesola?s group from the party, alleging that the former minister had left APC since 2022.

?You are agents of the PDP in Osun State and you are still of service to the ruling party in the state. What we are seeing with hindsight is that the hand is proverbially that of Jacob while the voice is identifiable to Isau,? Olabisi said.

?We shall be ready for the antics of the political renegades.

?We are not bothered by the action of the frustrated and expired politicians. The recent announcement of your either forming or joining another party is the imminent beginning of your political funeral which will end up in your final burial through the 2026 Governorship election.?

The Omoluabi group led by Aregbesola, in a statement by the group?s spokesperson, Abosede Oluwaseun, on Sunday announced the exit of the group from the APC in Osun State.

The group stated that their exit from the party was caused by ostracisation and the suspension of the group?s leaders from the APC.

Aregbesola during stakeholders was quoted to have commended them for the group?s commitment, principles of character, integrity, and good governance.

The group?s chairman, Azeez Adesiji, said that the dignity of the Omoluabi group maintained that efforts are on the way to re-orientate members on the philosophy of progressivism. (The Guardian)
