A stellar cast of three top ranking executives in business communication from South Africa and Nigeria would lead discourse at the 6^th Business Leaders’ Forum of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Nigeria Chapter. Mobil Producing Nigeria and Lafarge Africa are backing the breakfast thought leadership event.

Daniel Munslow, a member of the International Executive Board of IABC, the global body of communication professionals, will lead with a presentation on the Communication Trends of 2016.

South Africa-based Munslow is also the Africa Regional Director of IABC and a director of VMA Group, a firm that handles capacity building and recruitment in the marketing communication field.

Dr. Kudo Eresia-Eke, General Manager, External Relations of Nigeria’s foremost company, Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) will speak on “Social License and the Business Case for CSR.” Operating in the extractive industry, NLNG has had close to 20 years of managing community relations and entrenching Corporate Social Responsibility as a strategic imperative of business. Eresia-Eke would discuss what has worked or not worked and why NLNG considers CSR vital.

Communications Director of Lafarge Holcim, Mrs. Viola Graham-Douglas would share perspectives on Internal Communication and Change Management. Lafarge is one of the key players in cement manufacturing and marketing in Africa.

IABC Nigeria President, Chido Nwakanma said the 6^th Business Leaders Forum “continues and extends a tradition of providing food for the mind and leading thought on critical issues germane to communication and business leadership in Nigeria.”

Nwakanma added: “We are excited about this event as it would serve all those interested in the most significant trends in communication globally as well as best practice in our environment. The visit of the Africa Director, who also sits on the global board, is an endorsement of the efforts of the Executive Team to raise awareness about IABC and how it boosts the discipline of business communication in Nigeria.”

The June 30 event, powered by Mobil Producing Nigeria, will take place at the Black Diamond Hotel near Mobil House in Victoria Island.

Nwakanma said attendance is free to business leaders, communication scholars and all those interested in the nexus between the growing discipline of communication and business performance.

IABC Nigeria is the Nigerian affiliate of the global professional association devoted to the enhancement of professionalism in business communication. IABC has headquarters in California, USA.

The Business Leaders Forum is a thought leadership platform for sharing current trends and best practices in business communication, strategy and general management. The audience of 60 would consist of leaders in various areas of business who come to share knowledge, interact and network for the betterment of their organisations. The media would also be heavily represented at reportorial and senior executive levels.
