As a development enthusiast with interests in Agricultural Commodities marketing and exports as well as tourism promotion; I am compelled to key into the developmental agenda of the Kebbi State Government under the leadership of Comrade Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu.

Notably and for the first time in the annals of Kebbi State 4 World Class Tourism Events have successfully been placed on the National and International tourism calendar: The Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival, Gwandu Emirate Annual Horse Racing and Cultural Festival, Yauri Boat Rigatta and Zuru Uhola Cultural Festival.

These events will be significant sources of Internally Generated Revenue for the State, create sustainable income to thousands of small and medium businesses in the tourism value chain.

The multiplayer effects of tourism events run into billions of Naira ranging from transportation, foods and beverages, hospitality, Local crafts, tour guiding, fabrics and garments, etc.

In the area of multilateral trade and export promotion, Kebbi State government has taken practical steps to formalise and spur accelerated level of trade relationships with our neighbouring countries. At the moment a standard Export Hub is being put in place at Tsamiya with all compensations paid for a successful take-off.

One notable accolade for this administration is the repositioning of Kebbi Investments Promotion Agency with a clear mandate to drive the much needed impetus for sustainable investments in the State, promote Ease of Doing Business and create awareness on the abundant investment potentials of the state.

In the same development, the current shift towards investing in Livestock Sector provides yet another opportunity to showcase the abundant investment potentials of the state being second largest producer of livestock in the country. With expertise from Indonesia and Brazil; Kebbi livestock sector would soon take its rightful pedestal in the scheme of things. Another Gold mines for the State include the vast Agricultural resources notably Rice, Onions, Soy Beans, sesame seeds, Shea nuts, maize and peanuts.

I firmly believed that with the current investment temperament, coupled with the State - of - the arts facilities in the state capital such as roads, solar powered street lights and many more: Investors from within and outside of the State will now have a field day.

I wish to formally declare and revalidate my membership for APC in Kalgo Ward, Kalgo Local Government Area and Kebbi State.
