They profusely thanked God for the victory, announcing that the election has produced ?the youngest in coming Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa.?

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the postponement of the final collation of results of the election till 10:00 a.m. This followed rising tension in the state.

Earlier this morning, Governor Godwin Obaseki and leaders of the PDP Campaign Council had launched separate protests at the INEC Edo Office, alleging that PDP?s Asue Ighodalo won the ballot but that the results were being changed in favour of APC?s Monday Okpebholo.
