Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has sparked a heated conversation on social media after criticizing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

In a tweet on Saturday, Davido called INEC the ?most dangerous institution in Nigeria,? triggering a wave of responses, including a pointed reaction from Jubril Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Davido?s post, which garnered over 12,000 likes and more than 3,200 reposts, is linked to his dissatisfaction with the just concluded Edo State elections.

The Afrobeat singer has been vocal about his concerns regarding electoral processes in Nigeria.

Reacting to his post, Gawat retweeted Davido?s post, stating, ?This tweet means ONLY one thing?,? without further elaboration, leaving many to speculate about his message.

Several social media users, including notable figures, reacted to Davido?s and Gawat?s exchange. Ain? Dipo, a well-known commentator, clapped back at Davido, pointing out that his family has benefited from the same institution he now criticized, referencing his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke.

In a counter reaction, Davido calls Out Sanwo Olu?s Aide, Gawat over his response to his tweet.

Another Twitter user, @The_socialistt, didn?t mince words, labeling Davido?s criticism as ?disgraceful and ridiculous? and challenging the singer?s stance in light of his party?s electoral performance.

The exchange between Davido and Gawat signifies the ongoing tensions surrounding Nigeria?s electoral body and the role of public figures in shaping political discourse.

While Davido?s tweet continues to stir reactions, Gawat?s cryptic response keeps his followers guessing about its deeper meaning, especially in the wake of the Edo elections, where political alliances and outcomes remain under scrutiny. (New Telegraph)
