Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, recently disclosed that his wife Chioma’s engagement ring is valued at more than the combined cost of three Rolls Royce motor cars.

This revelation sparked widespread interest on social media, with many astounded by the ring’s astronomical value while others questioned the accuracy of Davido’s claim.

Vanguard’s investigation into the price of Davido’s latest acquisition, the 2024 Rolls Royce Spectre, revealed the luxury vehicle is priced at approximately $422,750 according to insights from Car and Driver, a prominent digital magazine covering automotive trends. Converted to Naira, this amounts to about N649,297,497.

Based on the valuation of the 2024 Rolls Royce Spectre, it can be estimated that Chioma’s engagement ring would be valued at around $1,268,250, which converts to approximately N1,947,892,491 at the exchange rate at the time of this report.

The notion of spending ‘N1.9 billion’ on an engagement ring is staggering to many worldwide. However, beyond its eye-watering price tag, the ring presents several potential economic advantages for Davido and Chioma:

The unique and high-value nature of the ring could attract virtual tourists eager to experience a close-up view through digital platforms, potentially creating a new revenue stream.

Insurance Security

Given the ring’s substantial value, insuring Chioma’s finger could offer financial protection against potential loss or damage, providing peace of mind for the couple.

Brand Collaborations and Endorsements

The ring’s high-profile status might attract luxury brands and jewelers for collaborations or endorsements, potentially leading to lucrative partnerships and opportunities.

Auction Potential

In the future, the ring could potentially be auctioned for a significant profit due to its celebrity association and initial value, offering a substantial return on investment. (Vanguard)
