In a seamless manner, he mystifies ordinary occurrences, leaving you in total awe. After an encounter with him, you will but agree with those who dubbed fair-skinned Eze Robinson Korea a mysteryman.

Effortlessly, he recollects dates of events in the life of people – former presidents, governors, other prominent figures in the society. He explains the importance and analyses implications of such dates as they impact on the destiny of the affected persons.

As a prophet, Korea, as he is fondly called, with dates and numbers, could with certainty, predict events or prophesy what would happen in future.

Described as a highly religious person, Korea may have been prophesying without attracting much attention. But his prediction in 2013 that Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu would emerge the governor of Abia State has brought him to limelight.

News Express learnt that on the March 3, 2013, Korea (so nicknamed because he once was a representative of the Korean company, Kodak) predicted that a man called Okezie (no surname) would emerge from the southern kingdom (Abia South) as the governor of Abia State. On November 3, 2013, he saw the vision again and confirmed it. Those to whom he intimated of his vision include Elder Uzoma Chigbu, Hon. Chimezie Armstrong Okoronkwo, Hon. Pastor Nnamdi Aliche and Comrade Joachim E. Anyanwu.

Korea, regarded as a philosopher, prophet and numerologist, also used his divine encounter to publicly predict that Mbawsi Community in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of Abia state would produce the sixth Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly – which equally came to pass with the emergence of the Rt. Hon. Martins Azubuike.

After the 2015 general elections, the anxiety-sapping, drawn-out legal battles began. And Korea offers an insight into how the number 3 turned out to be the magic behind Ikpeazu’s victory at the Supreme Court.

He recalled that Dr. Alex Otti, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), dragged Ikpeazu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who was returned winner of the 2015 Abia State governorship election, before the Elections Petition Tribunal in Umuahia.

The tribunal sat in Court 3 of the Umuahia High Court and delivered its judgment on November 3, 2015 in favour of Ikpeazu.

Otti proceeded to the Court of Appeal sitting in Owerri. Here, Ikpeazu’s victory runs were halted. The Court of Appeal in its ruling of December 31, 2015 declared Otti winner of the Abia governorship polls. In awarding victory to Otti, the Appeal Court nullified elections in the 3 local government areas of Obingwa, Osisioma and Isiala Ngwa North.

The appellate court’s verdict forced Ikpeazu to race to the Supreme Court of Nigeria. The apex court delivered its ruling on the matter on February 3, 2016, affirming that Ikpeazu, not Otti, actually won the Abia guber contest; after restoring the results of the three local governments hitherto nullified by the Appeal Court. Before the apex court ruling, the Ikpeazu appeal was the third case to be called up by the court that day and during its third sitting.

Korea equally pointed out that after documents were tendered by Alex Otti’s counsel, at the resumption of the Supreme Court proceedings, three respondents raised objections to the said documents and their objections were based on the certification of the petitioner’s document.

According to him, the governor’s legal tussle went through three stages viz: the Election Petition Tribunal, Appeal Court and the Supreme Court, which gave him favourable judgement.

Launching into numerology, Korea explained why 3 is Ikpeazu’s lucky number.

“In numerology,” he said, “the number 3 is used 467 times in the Bible. The meaning of this number derives from the fact that it is the first of four spiritually perfect numerals, the others being 7, 10, and 12.”

Drawing from the biblical inferences of the number three, Korea recalled that “the three righteous patriarchs before the flood were Abel, Enoch and Noah” and after the deluge, there were the “righteous fathers – Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

“Jesus,” he further recalled, according to the scriptures, “prayed three times in the Garden of Gethsemane before his arrest, and was placed on the cross at the third hour of the day (9am) while he died on the 9th hour (3pm).”

He noted that darkness enveloped the land for the three hours Jesus was suffering on the cross – from the sixth hour to the ninth hour, stressing that “three is the number of resurrection.”

He referred to the Ikpeazu episode to simply as “history repeating itself and cited biblical references.”

According to Korea, “So far, history has been repeating itself since the foundation of the world. It is an avenue for people to learn and take precautionary measures.

“In the Bible, before Christ started his public ministry, he fasted for 40 days. After the resurrection, he moved from place to place for 40 days before finally ascending to heaven.

“Moses, on his own part, was 40 years old when he visited his people. On departing from his people, after 40 days again he brought his people out of Egypt.”

The Ngwa-born Eze Robinson Korea was a great apostle of Nigeria’s first Minister of Foreign affairs and Commonwealth Relations, Jaja Anuncha Nwachukwu, who passed away in 1996.

One account has it that Eze Robinson Korea studied at the feet of the late Jaja Anuncha Nwachukwu, who was also the first Speaker of the Nigerian parliament. The late icon was said to have tutored Eze Robinson Korea vastly in the field and faculty of wisdom and the command of authority at the tender age of 13 years.

Korea was also said to have received blessings from the Ngwa sage before he died.

On March 3, 2016, to mark the third year of his prophecy about Ikpeazu becoming governor, Eze Robinson Korea was in Umuahia to seek divine intervention in the resuscitation of moribund industries, particularly the Golden Guinea Breweries and the Modern Ceramics. He said the problems of the two firms were more of spiritual than financial, stressing that the appointed time to break the spiritual bondage has come so that the companies can come back to life, generate thousands of jobs and keep the Abia economy buoyant. He predicted that Abia’s economy will blossom as the best in Nigeria and advised the governor to look towards the Asian world for business partners for him to succeed.

One man who has encountered Eze Robinson Korea and was impressed by his depth of knowledge and wealth of experience is the South East Coordinator of MoveOn Nigeria, a community action and advocacy group, Comrade Joachim Anyanwu.

“In the course of our group’s awareness, sensitisation and education outreach, I discovered a highly gifted, young and talented Nigerian of Abia State extraction. What I witnessed from him was amazing,” Anyanwu said.

“Eze Robinson Korea is a philosopher, numerologist and a prophet of our time. He sacrifices much to live a holy and righteous life and does not compromise his regular communion at the Altar every 12 noon, 3pm, 6pm and other times,” Anyanwu added.

Many testified that as a numerologist and prophet, Eze Robinson Korea, has deployed his talent and wisdom to counsel and guide people in leadership positions and those aspiring to lead, on timing and the right steps to take in order to achieve their ambitions. And Anyanwu believes that this “mysteryman” will be useful to Abia State, nay Nigeria, should the various tiers of government resolve to tap his talents.
