Dedayo Adeloye who hails from Agege area of Lagos State is set to embark on World Record Challenge of 48-hour Ad-va-thon in Lagos in October.

He will be attempting to set a world record for crafting five captivating advertisement videos for five different brands, all within the confines of a single location and in the shortest production time.

Dedayo will singlehandedly assume different roles as director, producer, scriptwriter, lighting expert, sound engineer, art director, costume designer, video editor, and voice-over artiste – all within an astonishing 48-hour timeline!

The attempt is not tied to any specific organisation. It’ll feature an independent timekeeper during the entire record attempt to ensure fairness and accuracy in tracking the production time.

The challenge will begin from October 25th to 26th, 2023, at Crest Shortlet and Apartment in Ogba, Lagos.

Dedayo through a scholarship program obtained an associate degree in Business Administration from the University Of The People, California USA. He was nominated for the 25 under 25 Awards, Class of 2020 & 2021 (Media & Communication Category) by SME100Africa.

In his remarks, he said: ‘I’ve handpicked five of my all-time favorite brands whose products I genuinely love and use. The names of these brands will be unveiled during the official announcement of the attempt.’

“I have meticulously planned and practiced my production process to optimize efficiency while ensuring high-quality results. The few experience that I’ve gathered in video production will also play a crucial role in achieving this feat.”

Dedayo further explained that the record attempt is a solo endeavor, but there would be live updates, opportunities for public engagement and support during the event through his official social media handle @DedayoAdeloye.

He said: “The first 24 hours will be used to capturing his love for the brands via compelling TV Commercials while the next 24 hours will be dedicated to masterful editing and production.

“I possess lots of unique talents, and I don’t want to carry these gifts to my grave knowing fully well that this is something that could bring joy to my family and encourage others who live in the hood that they can do better.

“Furthermore, I hope this attempt opens doors for creative opportunities both within and outside the country. I aspire to collaborate with fellow creatives in the media industry.

“I’m well aware that big players like Oluwadabest and Fedworks have all the resources to pull things like these off, and clearly I don’t have all the resources, but I’ll make the best use of what I have because waiting until I have everything may not be an option.

“Hopefully, If I succeed with this attempt, I won’t just rewrite the AGEGE story; I’ll show the world that even in a place like AGEGE, the whole world can see that greatness doesn’t care where you’re from, and pure determination is the key to unlocking any wildest dreams,” he said. (The Guardian)
