English Preemiership champions Manchester United have intensified efforts to land Polish wonder striker Robert Lewandowski who destroyed Real Madrid of Spain in the first leg semi-final of the European Champions League last week Wednesday.

Legendary Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been mandated by the club’s owners, the Glazer family, to “push the boat out” to secure Lewandowski’s signature this summer, according to reports from England.

Ferguson was quted as saying: “Having spoken with the Glazer family, I think there is every intention of wanting to kick on. I don’t think we need a big rebuilding.
