Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase, has deployed new Commissioners of Police to Lagos, Rivers and Ogun states, and some other Force Headquarters Formations.

Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Abayomi Shogunle, said in a statement issued this evening in Abuja that the move was informed by Arase’s decision “to inject fresh ideas in the security architecture” in the affected commands.

He said that the new postings are as stated below:

“It is expected that the new postings will reverse the crime wave in the affected states, while also strengthening administration in the affected strategic Force Headquarters Formations,” CSP Shogunle said in the statement.
