A younger brother of the controversial Catholic priest, Rev Father Ejike Mbaka, Mr. Obumneme Mbaka, has denounced Princess Uche Ottah, who accused Father Ejike Mbaka of sleeping with his brothers’ wives.

Obumneme, in an exclusive interview, described the accusation as malicious, wicked, subversive, and malignant.

Princess Ottah had, in an earlier interview, claimed that Mbaka wanted to sleep with Edozie’s bride, and that is the reason why he has been trying to stop his marriage.

She has also claimed that Rev Mbaka had had carnal knowledge of Obumneme’s wife, even before marriage. The claim had apparently infuriated Obumneme who told newsmen that there was no iota of truth in any of Ottah’s claims.

He stated: “I married on the 9th of April, 2012. There has never been any such issue. The Father takes good care of us and we are in harmony. There have been several such evil tales, but what I know is that none of these stories is true. There are those who said that my wife was going out to other men before marriage. But the first man my wife knew sexually is me. This is because it took us three months to begin having regular husband and wife ‘meeting’. Her body was very tight and closed. I had to take quite some time in order to open her up. So those tales are very tall tales.”

He also dismissed insinuations that Mbaka was after Edozie’s betrothed, stating that the lady in question had told the Catholic Bishop of Enugu that no such thing ever occurred.

He also revealed that it was also a lie that Rev Mbaka tried to stop Edozie from marrying his fiancée, and stated that it was their late father, Ogbuefi Mbaka, who instructed that none of them should marry from certain communities, and it was this instruction that the family tried to discuss with Edozie, but detractors won’t let him listen to the voice of reason.

“Edozie had come earlier to say he wants to go and perform the introduction ceremony, and because it’s not full marriage, we agreed and went with him. As a matter of fact, there are cases where people can go as far as traditional marriage, and even complete the whole marriage process, and yet will break. It was after the introduction that our mother called him and explained that he should be aware that Ogbuefi was against our marrying from that place.

“According to her, my father said that none of us must marry from that community where the lady comes from. My father was wizened and aged before he died. Such a man cannot make a careless statement about what he knew will be good or bad for his children,” he stated.
