A presidential candidate during the 2019 elections, Dr. Asukwo Mendie Archibong Esq., has sent a message of hope to Nigerians all over the world, telling them not to become dispirited by the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic.

“It is at times like these that we remember what is important. You are important. I am sending well-wishes to all Nigerians everywhere in the world. May the Lord be with you all at this time. When this is all over, I hope we can all re-connect so that we can share our experiences regarding how we, individually and the nation as a whole, handled this present situation, and what we can do to improve in the future. In the meantime, BE STRONG,” Dr. Archibong, who is also National Chairman of Nigeria For Democracy party, said in the message.

Continuing, he sad: “This coronavirus pandemic, and the resultant lockdown or shelter in place, is a very difficult experience for every one of us, as we are unable to connect in the way we should with one another.

“This is an unsettling time in our world’s history, however there will come a time when we view it as just that... part of history. When that moment comes, we would have become stronger, nimbler and more resilient, individually and collectively as a people. We must continue to be bold and creative as we look towards a brighter future. Thank you to all Nigerians and most especially to our men and women in uniform for all the sacrifices you are making today for the safety of our nation. Please be safe and take care of yourselves and those around you. May The Lord Be With You All. Amen.”
