The Alapomu of Apomuland, Oba Kayode Afolabi, has called for peace in Osun State and throughout Nigeria, warning that without peace there cannot be development and progress.
Oba Afolabi, who was commenting on his experience during his maiden attendance at the meeting of the Osun Traditional Rulers Council, challenged royal fathers to lead the way by setting the right example.
He said: “In an environment of strife there can be no development. Therefore, we need peace and cooperation of everyone to achieve progress.”
The Alapomu expressed satisfaction with the warm reception accorded him by his fellow traditional rulers during the meeting. He pledged to work with them and the State Government for the peace and development of Osun State.
