Akwa Ibom State Governor, Chief Godswill Obot Akpabio, yesterday evening in Uyo, presented a 2015 budget proposal of N462 billion to the state House of Assembly, as against the N498.5bn he presented for 2014.
Submitting the budget tagged “Budget of Actualisation and Continuity” to Speaker Sam Ikon, Gov. Akpabio stated that N253bn was for capital expenditure, while N114.2bn was for consolidated revenue fund charges.
News Express reports that the 2015 budget presentation is Akpabio’s last as governor, as his constitutional second and final term in office ends on May 29, 2015.
