Recognising an injustice is the first step.
Seeking help or doing something about it depends on some parameters, including the magnitude of the injustice, the likelihood of the continuation of that injustice if nothing is done to curb it, and the identity of the perpetrator(s).
If the injustice hurts, act.
If it gives one sleepless nights, act.
If it makes one uncomfortable, act.
If the recipient is a child or a minor, act.
If the perpetrator is known to the recipient, act.
Remember, standing against injustice is fraught with dangers, and I do not mean the ‘going straight to hell’ threat. It is highly probable that the perpetrator will initially toughen the injustice and will solicit the support of others against the recipient and anyone who opposes the injustice.
Tread gently, but remain resolute.
