Police arrest mother for allegedly killing two children

 A middle-aged woman, Ukamaka Ezike, has been arrested by men of the Imo State Police Command for allegedly killing two of her children.

Police said the husband of the suspect and father to the deceased children, Christian Ezike of Awo Idemili, in Orsu Local Government Area of the state, reported that while he was away on November 15, his wife  beat up this three children, identified as Kosarachukwu, Chinwendu and Chinecherem, 4 years, 2 years and two months respectively.

He reportedly said that the children were rushed to the hospital, where Chinecherem and Chinwendu died.

The spokesman of the police for the command, SP Orlando Ikeokwu, who confirmed the incident said investigation has commenced.

Ikeokwu said the police are digging to ascertain the motive of the woman’s action, stressing that the action was a “bizarre” one.
