A lot has been going around about Zlatan’s latest album titled “Zanku”. The album has gotten more ‘trashes’ than ‘thumbs up’.
According to Naijaloaded, Lack of Confidence + Women Shaming = Zanku.
Meanwhile, it’s a good thing to make an attempt at dropping an album after almost two years of shinning in the music industry.
But in a bid to drop an album, it just plain makes sense to let the album send a positive signal across to fans.
You don’t go all out slut-shaming women all in the name of singing for the street.
Plus, as an A-list artiste who believes so much in his talent, you don’t have to express your fear of falling off the radar in your music by throwing shots at perceived enemies to prove a point.
However, a good number of works off the album have become hits already. Songs like "Bolanle", "This Year" and "Gbeku" (which is collaboration with African Giant, Burna Boy), are already all over the airwaves.
The reception of the album might not be as much as we expected it to be – probably because of the not-so-enticing messages behind the rhythms – but Zlatan’s career has only taken off.
We wish him beautiful years ahead in the industry.
