The Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, Dr. Michael Tidi, has explained that the decision of his administration to execute 21 water projects across the 19 wards that make up the local government was borne out of overwhelming desire to address the water needs of people in the area.

Dr. Tidi gave the explanation on Tuesday (August 20) at Otovwodo Ward 2 in the Local Government during the commissioning of a water project in Pessu Health Centre, to signal the formal inauguration of 18 water projects.

While noting that his administration took pains to identify the immediate needs of people of Warri South on assumption of office, Dr. Tidi enjoined residents of the benefiting communities to support government by ensuring that projects situated in their areas are protected and maintained.

Representative of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli, Chief Olivia Agbajoh; leader of Warri South Legislative Arm, Hon. Jude Igherebuo; and Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Warri South Local Government, Mr. Johnson Agbeyegbe, all spoke glowingly about the Tidi administration.

The 18 inaugurated water projects are situated in the following wards: Otovwodo 2, Ekurede/Ugbori, G. R. A., Essi, Ajamimogha, Ekurede Urhobo/Ogunu, Ubeji, Ode-Itsekiri, Obodo/Omadino, Orugbo, Otovwodo, Otor-Orere, Olodi/Okpeki, Ighogbadu, Pessu, Mcdermot, Igbudu and Edjeba.
