Africa Security Forum has called on all Nigerians in the Diaspora to be patient and allow the court process to be concluded over the additional 45 days granted to Department of State Security (DSS) to further investigate the allegation of fomenting revolution leveled against politician and online media personality, Mr. Omoyele Sowore.
“The Federal Government of Nigeria’ position is clear that Nigerians in the Diaspora have many legal channels through which they can express their concerns and even make recommendations for a better Nigeria which includes the well-established Nigeria embassies around the world, Nigerian Diaspora Commission and diaspora community leaders,” the Forum said in a statement issued in London and made available to News Express by e-mail.
“Nigerians in the Diaspora should avoid participating in any meeting, discussion or sponsor any activities that involves destabilising Nigeria’s democratic process and should only participate in endorsed activities approved by their Diaspora community leaders and they should use official complaint platform to express their constructive feedback which Nigeria government welcomes!” the statement signed by the Forum’s President Temitope Olodo Esq., said.
I invited Diasporan Nigerians to get in touch for further clarification about Nigeria Terrorism (Prevention) Act, 2011 and Terrorism (Prevention) (Amendment) Act, 2013.
