A seven-day ultimatum starting from Friday has been issued to the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria Meteorology Agency NiMet, Sani Abubakar Mashi, and his management to implement the reviewed workers Condition of Service (CoS). The ultimatum was issued by the Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals (ANAP) in a letter issued recently and signed by its Secretary General, Comrade Abdul-Rasaq Saidu. In the official letter, the association wants the Prof Mashi to revert the alleged anti-trade union transfers/postings of Nimet ANAP branch executives out of Abuja since December 2018, They explained that failure to accede to their demands, the union will resort to mobilising the workers on an industrial protest at the expiration of the ultimatum. In the letter, Comrade Saidu noted that the management of NiMet and the Director General had treated ANAP entreaties with impunity. He therefore enjoined all workers, in NiMet to stay at home indefinitely at the expiration of the ultimatum if the issues were not resolved in favour of the workers. (LEADERSHIP)
