The result of the 2019 National Assembly elections in Delta North Senatorial District was on Monday declared by Delta North Senatorial Returning Officer, Dr. Ignitius Ezeome, the Provost of Federal College of Education Technical Asaba.
He announced Senator Peter Nwaoboshi of the People Democratic Party (PDP) re-elected into the Red Chamber, defeating his closest rival, Hon. Doris Uboh of All Progressives Congress (APC), with 186,423 voters, while Uboh had 36,350.
Meanwhile, Hon Ndudi Elumelu of PDP was also declared winner for Federal House of Representatives, as announced by the Returning Officer, Dr (Mrs) Josephine Emebizeogor Anene, for Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency.
Elumelu defeated his closest arrival, Paul Adingwupu of APC, with a total of 84214, while the APC candidate had 11,104.
The APC Candidate for Delta North, Hon. Doris Uboh, protested over the results announced by INEC, claiming that the results were manipulated.
Nwaoboshi and Ndudi thanked their constituencies for their turnout, promising to perfume better as in line with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa agenda.
