One would have expected that, after all the money he made from his remake of the late Afro beat King, Fela Anikulapo’s “Double Wahala” song, Oritsefemi Majemite Ekele, would be shopping and having his special meals at highbrow eateries such as Mr Bigg’s, KFC, Calabar Kitchen, or any of the likes.
But no, the renowned singer, songwriter and performer is always comfortable patronising local joints where he can fill his stomach with bread and ewa (cooked beans) and wash it down with a sachet of “Pure Water”.
And Oritsefemi is not hiding it. He is always quick to tell anyone who “catches” him at such joints, “You are already gone if your daily problem is bigger than your daily bread”.
Call him Mr Low Profile, and you won’t be wrong.
