The Board of the Online Publishers Association of Nigeria (OPAN) has disassociated itself from a statement in circulation, which claims to be the position of the association on the suspension of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen.
“The purported statement is illegal and unauthourised and could not have been issued by OPAN,” OPAN said Monday in a statement signed by the President, Austyn Ogannah, and General Secretary, Daniel Elombah.
“The press and general public are hereby informed that all communications (electronic or otherwise) by OPAN are signed by the President of OPAN, Austyn Ogannah or jointly with the General Secretary, Daniel Elombah and delivered via email@example.com,” the statement said.
