Youth leaders from communities in Bori Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State have warned some individuals whom they alleged are scheming for actions that could rupture the fragile peace in the area.
Specifically, the youths identified Robo Michael Limited, Prince Biira and Bari-ala Kpalap as the ringleaders suspected to be fomenting trouble in Ogoniland. The youth leaders therefore warned them to desist from any act that could engender crises riverine area.
The youth leaders, who were responding to news reports of proposed elections in Bori to be organised by Mr. Prince Biira reportedly under the sponsorship of Robo Michael, said they were not ready to tolerate trouble makers.
Spokespersons for the youth groups, Comrades Dum B. Doole and S.K. Bagha representing Bori communities, said: “We witnessed the MOSOP elections yesterday which the police monitored at the MOSOP office in Boro. What Mr Biira and Kpalap wanted to do was to cause trouble in Bori and we will not accept that.”
The spokespersons for the youths advised Mr. Biira to take Robo Michael Limited, and all the trouble they planned, to Kaani his hometown and leave the Bori communities alone.
The youths also called on the Nigeria Police not to be partisan in keeping the peace in Bori.
“We want the Police to chase away Biira and his trouble makers and not allow them cause crises in our home town. If they fail to do so, we will ensure that Biira does not cause any trouble in Bori. Biira should take his trouble and Robo Michael Limited to Kaani, his home town,” they said.
