The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has issued a 21-day ultimatum effective from 2nd of October, 2018 for the Federal Government to meet its demands and call NBTE to order or face total shut down of the polytechnics in the country.

ASUP in a release signed by its Zonal Coordinator Zone A, Kabir Yunusa for the president of the union and made available to Daily Trust said the decision was reached during it’s National Executives Council (NEC) meeting.

It observed that it has been left with no other alternative than to return to the trenches to fight for the sector, members, students and Nigerian state as government was yet to satisfactorily implement the terms contained in the memorandum of settlement it reached with the union.
