Police authorities in Kano state have summoned Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya and Alhaji Abdulrahman Sulaiman Kawu Sumaila for a peace talk, Daily Trust learnt.

The emergency meeting scheduled between the two politicians and Police Commissioner, Rabi’u Yusuf, followed a clash between supporters of the two politicians on Sunday.

Daily Trust gathered that supporters of the two politicians have defied the peace pact Gaya and Sumaila signed last month and engaged in fight.

Three persons from Gaya’s side were injured during the crisis.

As at the time of filing this report, Senator Gaya and Sumaila, a senior special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on House of Representatives matters were in a close door meeting with police commissioner at the state’s police command.
