Exodus hits APC as lawmakers, party EXCOs join Mama Taraba’s party

A former minister of Women Affairs and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the 2015 governorship election in Taraba state, Hajiya Aisha Alhassan has joined, United Democratic Party, UDP.

This came after she dumped APC over her disqualification from the primary slated for today, 29th September, 2018.

She tweeted “I have officially JOINED my next POLITICAL PARTY with 7 state Assembly Members, all @APCNigeria executives from 169 wards of Taraba State. All 16 local Government exco’s of APC . All states executives of APC, we are now in UDP”

She stated that seven members of the state assembly, 169 ward executive and 16 local government exco and all state executive decamped with her to UDP.

Alhassan who is often referred to as Mama Taraba also resigned as her position as for women affairs minister.

She said “If I am not qualified to contest election in the APC, I feel I am also not qualified to remain a minister in an APC government,” she said in her letter.
