One-time Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, will contest the Kaduna State governorship election in 2015, a chieftain of his party in the state has disclosed.

Peoples Daily quotes El-Rufai’s associate and veteran of Kaduna State politics, Alhaji Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi, as telling newsmen yesterday in the state capital: “We are working and prompting Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai to contest for the office of Kaduna State Governor. If is not his decision but decision of good and concerned people of Kaduna State to take Kaduna

State back to where it belongs, because we are presently in a rot garbage and a smelling dustbin and our people have suffocated enough.”

Hunkuyi vowed that whosoever will emerge candidate on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will defeat Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero with landslide victory.

His words: “Defeating those running government of Kaduna State now is as easy as ABC because the state is decaying, what remained is just picking the state from the mess. Majority of the people are not happy with this inept government and they will push them out.

“Nothing is left of the PDP in Kaduna State but packages of lies; some people are just discovering and waiting for the time. People there knew the truth; there will be no space for any manipulation or upturning people’s destiny. We are up and doing and up to the task.”
