A medical practitioner, Albert Enyinnaya, who did his National Youth Service with Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, has donated drugs to the institution.
Enyinnaya said that he donated the drugs to assist the school’s medical centre in efficient medical services.
The Ag. Rector of the Polytechnic, Prof. Ezionye Eboh, in his speech thanked the donor “for embarking on the laudable gesture rather than using the funds to engage in frivolities”.
Prof. Eboh said that it is thoughtful of Enyinnaya to embark on the gesture considering the impact the donation would cause to the medical department of the institution.
He directed the registrar of the institution to write a letter of recommendation for Enyinnaya.
The Dean, Students Affairs of the Polytechnic, Comrade Chris Nkoro, in his remarks commended the donor for his gesture, adding that the timing of the gesture is very appropriate.
