Police raids Peace Corps office, arrests 24 members

Kano command of the Nigerian Police Force has raided the state office of the Peace Corps of Nigeria (PCN) and 24 members were arrested including the acclaimed state commander.

It was gathered that men of the Nigerian police had stormed the corps state secretariat at Sallari quarters on Thursday morning and arrested members for unlawful assembly and other offences.

Confirming the raid and the arrest, Kano State Police Public Relation Officer Magaji Musa Majiya stated that, the arrest was made for unlawful assembly, inciting disturbance, wearing and carrying uniforms and badges resembling security agency.
