Traditional rulers in the Tiv speaking areas of Benue State have vowed that they were prepared to die with the Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom over the implementation of the Anti-Open Grazing Law.
The royal fathers also told the Governor to continue to resist the invasion and occupation of Benue land by herdsmen in whatever form.
This was the fallout of the Supreme Council Meeting of the Tiv Traditional Council (TTC) known as ‘Ijir Tamen’ held in Gboko, the traditional headquarters of the Tiv nation on Friday.
They also vowed to stand by Ortom in face of persecution for his stand and insistence to implement the anti-open grazing law in the state.
